How we handle errors, corrections, and clarifications.
At Africa Pro 24 Media, accuracy is the foundation of our credibility. We are committed to correcting errors promptly, transparently, and prominently. This Corrections Policy explains how we handle mistakes and how you can report them.
We strive to publish accurate, verified information. Despite our best efforts, errors can occur. When they do, we take responsibility and correct them as quickly as possible. We believe that acknowledging and correcting errors is a sign of strength, not weakness.
We distinguish between different types of errors and handle them accordingly:
Incorrect facts, figures, names, dates, titles, or locations. These are corrected promptly with a clear correction note.
Content that is accurate but may be misleading or ambiguous. We add a clarification note to provide additional context.
Errors that significantly change the meaning, tone, or conclusion of an article. These receive a prominent correction note at the top or bottom of the article, explaining what was wrong and what was corrected.
Articles that are fundamentally flawed or based on unreliable information. These are retracted with a clear explanation of why the article was withdrawn.
Our correction notes follow a standard format:
Correction (September 20, 2026): An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated [incorrect information]. It has been corrected to [correct information]. We apologise for the error.
